mutation-testing-skills holds Claude Code skills for mutation testing. Each skill covers one tool and walks an agent through setup, running, reading results, and fixing surviving mutants. The tool-neutral concepts live once, in shared references that every skill in the repository uses.

Features

Section titled “Features”
  • stryker. A skill for StrykerJS on JavaScript and TypeScript. It reads the output of stryker-agent-reporter, which turns a Stryker run into a list of survivors an agent can act on.
  • mutineer-practice. A skill for mutineer on Ruby with Minitest or RSpec. It covers setup and measured pitfalls, and goes beside mutineer’s own mutineer skill, which covers the CLI and the agent loop.
  • Shared references. references/ holds the mutation testing concepts, including how to gate a pull request on the change’s own diff (references/operations.md). The installer copies each skill’s references/general link as a directory, so an installed skill carries them.
  • A list of skills. npx skills add meganemura/mutation-testing-skills --list shows the skills in the repository.

How an agent uses it

The agent loads the stryker skill to set up Stryker, read a mutation score, triage surviving mutants, and speed up a run. It loads mutineer-practice to survey a Ruby project before a first mutineer run, avoid setup pitfalls, and triage surviving mutants.

Getting started

Section titled “Getting started”

This command installs the StrykerJS skill for Claude Code, for all of your projects:

For the mutineer skills, install the author’s own skill from its URL, then this repository’s:
